These are uniform recommendations. If you are just starting and don't have everything, don't worry, please come to class and dance with us anyway!
Flamenco/Folklorico: Purchased on your own (Studio might have some available, ask if needed!)
Shoes - Proper Flamenco/Folklorico shoes have metal nails on heel and toe. If this is your first pair, it is good to purchase at least one pair of black shoes (good for show options). If your dancer is young and you are trying it out for the first time or have a hard time finding their size, it is ok to use character shoes .
Skirt - Long, flowy red practice Flamenco Skirt or any color Folklorico Skirt (different)
Top - Fitted Top
Hair - pulled back and out of face
Hip-Hop/Cheer/Pom: Purchased on your own
Shoes - Comfy Sneakers with good traction and good arch support (no converse or van type shoes).
Clothes - workout clothes, nothing too baggy
Hair - pulled back and out of face
Poms - Studio will have for sale however if you want to bring your own to practice that would be alright. New ones will be purchased for performances.
Song and Dance: Purchased on your own
Shoes - Comfy Sneakers with good traction and good arch support (no converse or van type shoes).
Clothes - comfy moveable clothes
Hair - pulled back and out of face
Age: These are rough guidelines, final class placement will be made by ADS Director, Ashley Avellana Almada
Grade Level: rough guidelines, helps us know where might work well to place your dancer
Level: All classes are entry level. Advanced will move at a faster pass, best if student has some previous dancing experience, but not required.
Notes:
Bring a water bottle!
